Noel and I took a hike up to Odessa Lake in June. It was a hot day and admittedly I felt oppressed.
My favorite part was on the way back. People were starting their hikes at noon with kids. Nothing makes kids hate the outdoors quite like death a march up
a dusty mountain, in the high nineties, with the constant buzz of biting flies. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe kids like that sort of thing?
